Overview

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, resolution and technical support for computer systems, printers, faxes, scanners, copiers, phone systems.

 

Maintain technology equipment for all agency programs including those that operate 24 hours a day

 

Provide individual and/or group instruction and training to staff on computer systems as needed.

 

Us Ticket system to communicate ticket progress and status with team and end users.

 

Provide technical assistance during special projects.

 

Coordinate with Helpdesk operations using Help Desk software, including progress, resolution and 

documentation.

 

Assist with A/V room set-up when computers, video, audio or projectors have been requested.

 

Support surveillance systems as necessary.

 

Maintain knowledge of current industry developments and changes as they apply to our systems.

 

Travel to sites in Western NY to maintain and/or repair IT equipment.

 

Promote and maintains practices that comply with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

 

Maintains asset inventory and database, including the assets at each location.

 

Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:  Associates degree in Computer Science and three years related computer experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A+ Certification highly desirable.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:  Experience with network, hardware and software support on Microsoft based workstations in an Active Directory Environment is required. Experience in virtualized server environments, Citrix environments and Office 365 preferred. Experience in data networking, access control systems, electronic surveillance, Cisco VOIP desired.

 

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Knowledge of networks and WAN connections, Knowledge of and ability to diagnose and repair hardware. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to drive a car with a valid NYS driver’s license. Ability to travel to various DePaul locations in Western NY. Ability to work as a team member and to assist / cover the responsibilities of others as needed. Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner.  May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day, work weekend days or work more than 40 hours in a week.
