  • Overview

    Provide oversight of service planning and Medicaid documentation within OMH certified residential program to include development, implementation, training and auditing.

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for regular Medicaid Case Record Reviews on all resident’s files in the OMH certified programs. This includes reviewing Physician’s Authorizations, admission notes, service plans, service plan reviews and progress notes. 
    2. Responsible for the review of progress notes, especially rehabilitation service documentation, as it pertains to billing compliance. 
    3. Provide training to staff in service planning and Medicaid documentation for all sites and individuals as requested.
    4. Provide training to staff in service planning and Medicaid documentation via Day three of NEO.
    5. Provide training to staff in service planning and Medicaid documentation via attendance at staff meetings at all sites.
    6. Provide support to staff and answer questions when they arise in regards to writing and formulating service plans. 
    7. Provide training to staff in Person Centered Planning in regards to formulation of individual service plans.
    8. Perform any other duties as requested for the effective and efficient operation of the program.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in mental health or closely related field, QMHS status required. Three years experience in mental health. Must have the ability to work well with others in a challenging setting and establish appropriate boundaries necessary for a professional work environment.
