Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community is hiring a full-time 40 hour Dietary Director to work the day shift.
The pay range for this opportunity is $26.65 - 28.15 per hour.

Leads the dietary Department in accordance with all regulations and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for developing and overseeing and annual operating budget for food, supplies, small equipment and personnel costs.
Must keep accurate inventory of food products and supplies, including on (3-day) emergency supply of food, water and paper supplies.
Is responsible for remaining within budget (both food products and staffing) reports status to the Administrator on a weekly basis.
Direct all dietary personnel functions (e.g. recruitment, hiring, training, coaching, supervision, documentation, evaluation, scheduling and corrective personnel actions) in accordance with policies, regulation and laws.
Works with residents and family to resolve concerns in diet selections and service issues.
Performs other tasks or projects as directed by the Administrator.
Associate’s degree in food service management, or a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five-years’ of experience in the food service industry in a management or supervisory capacity.
Experience with budgeting, purchasing, bulk food preparation and batch cooking.
Willing to work with inspectors, monitoring and licensing agencies to maintain compliance with New York Adult Care Home rules and regulations.
Must be aware of and apply the standards of sanitary food preparation.
Must pass the Health Evaluation exam / tests performed at the time of hire.
Must have a current / clean NYS driver’s license that meets company’s clean driving record policy.
Must be approved by the NYS Criminal History Background Check (CHRC) unit and meet company employment criteria.
Well-lighted, air-conditioned / heated environment; may be exposed to residents with communicable disease or confused residents who become combative. May be required to work outdoors on occasion when required by resident cookouts.
Rubber gloves, goggles (protective) when working with chemicals or cleaning up broken glass. Food preparation equipment (mixer, slicer, grinder, etc.), dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove, steamer and ice tea / coffee maker. Office equipment (copier, calculator, fax machine, telephone, computer).
